Good news- this also works with iPod touch (at least with tomtom 720) :)

Whats TomTom?

In this context: a standalone GPS car navigation system (like garmin). Very big in Europe. www.tomtom.com

With ipod attached you can control ipod with TomTom touchscreen and ipod sound comes out of TomTom speaker. Can also link into car audio via cable. This also means that ipod sound will automatically mute when car navigation wishes to give directions or phone rings (the TomTom also has bluetooth handsfree built in). On my TomTom 720, with certain phones eg razr V3i, it will read out sms message as they are received.
