TomTom cradle and iPhone 4...iOS bug?

Up until iOS 4 came out my iPhone 4 worked 100% with the tom-tom cradle (with a velcro pad behind it) - then when iOS 4 came out, it stopped working, i.e. it wouldn't charge the iPhone anymore.

I read somewhere that it was iOS that caused the problem, is that true?
