Tone played 5 times for every SMS/notification

Every times somebody sends me a message by SMS, Whatsapp, Facebook or with any other app I hear the sound played 5 times. Same for app notifications. How can I fix this? I am using a new iPhone 4s and I did not restore anything from my old iPhone.

Could that be from; Settings> Notifications> Messages> Repeat alert(5times)?
Mine is set for 2 times, for my text's, Voice and email. I'm not sure if that setting would do the same for your issue though.

The problem is not that the alert is repeated after a few minutes; I hear the 5 alerts at the same moment, like if 5 people texted me at the same time.

I get this sometimes, but only twice at the same time.

I find that doing a hard reset with the sleep/wake button and home button works for me
