I bought a MBP over the weekend and somehow even after all the time I spent looking at the new computers I completely missed the printer rebate. The guy at the apple store even asked if I wanted a printer, but didn't mention the rebate. I've gone the last 4 years without a printer at home and been just fine, but I could have gotten the "free" printer and sold it to make some money back. The apple store website says the mbp and printer have to be on the same invoice to get the rebate. If I go back to the apple store do you think they'll print out a new invoice for me with both the mbp and printer on it? Or did I miss the boat on this one?

I know that if you buy it online, you have to get it at the same time. A friend of mine made that mistake a few weeks ago. If you bought it at the store, I would just call the store and ask.

Turns out I just had to take my receipt to the mac store to get the rebate (and printer of course).

Anyone want to buy a printer?

i used to work at apple retail... they typically run the free printer with a purchase of a mac promo all year-round. their is an expiration and cut off but they re-run it all year. if you still have your receipt and if you purchased in the last 14 days, you're safe. just go in and they will add the printer to the receipt. if it is outside of 14 days, you may have to speak with a manager (nothing to be worried about, they have the final say on allowing a late rebate, not the specialists). if someone there tells you that you can't get it, ask to speak with a manager. seasonal employees and specialists "can't" authorize late rebate purchases, but a manager can.
