Has anyone ever had a problem from installing too many devices in their mac and draining so much power that it causes an issue with bootup. I recently purchased a 2010 5,1 mac pro, 12x2.6. I installed 6 drives, including one regular drive and one SDD in optical bays, plus Geforce 225, Radeon 5770, and Newertek USB-3/sata card. And I noticed that it takes a couple of tries to get the machine to bootup. I called the place where I purchased and they informed me that I might have too many things, ie drives and graphics cards, drawing too much power. Anyone else have experience with this? Thanks, G

There's a Forum specifically for Mac Pro, i recommend to post your questions there:

If you post it in the Mac Pro forum, it might be helpful to add the specs of your MP, all hardware , BootRom, Os version etc.
Nevertheless to answer 1 of your questions:
The PSU of the MP4,1 and MP 5,1 is rated for 980Watts.
So the boot issues are definitely not caused by too much power draw by e.g. drives/GPU .
