I went into the apple store today to have my mac checked out and I bought my apple remote. So I did what any mature adult would do...i took it out and started pushing buttons to see if any of the computers at the store would respond. THEY DID!!! I freaked out so many people not to mention the sales staff!! it was hilarious i highly reccomend giving it a try!!!:apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple: :apple:

My favorite is to pull the ol' Ctrl-Opt-Cmnd-8 on 'em. Sadly the employees on Michigan Ave. are well trained for that one, it seems, and fix it right away. :p

I have tried the remote trick in class with other peoples computers, but unfortunately I think you need to pair it or else it won't work. Smart move, Apple.

Nah, the only time when your Apple remote won't work with other computers is if people have actually paired another remote with their Macs. By default, any Apple Remote will work with any Apple Mac.

Hahaa I still haven't tried that one... but it is always fun to change the colors to "256 colors" and watch people complain about how crappy the Mac Screens are... :D

I'm gonna try that one.

Never thought about doing the invert screen. I'll try it next week when I am there.

Lol, I'm definitely going to give that one a try. :D

This is so delightfully evil. Why stop at the Store? I can see doing this in schools , friends' homes, businesses......:D

haha yes yes i tottaly think there should be a iPrank section in this fourm lol i think i just invented it!!

Gah! Re-phrase! Re-phrase now!

Quite a common phrase from England actually.

"I'm getting you done!" - Usually said to someone if you're going to "tell on them", snitch, grass them up etc.

Therefore, "nothing like getting done like a 6 year old" just means "nothing like getting in trouble like a 6 year old".

:)

Ahhh, thanks for the lesson in UK colloquialisms. As Eddie Izzard once pointed out, we do say some things differently. ("You say 'erb' and we say 'herb...' because it's got a ****ing H in it.") :D

I went into the Apple Store in Buffalo and changed all the settings to metric. I didn't really see any reactions, so I guess it was a lame iPrank. :/
