Too Much Spam on Gmail on iPhone!!!

I have been getting over 10 junk mail messages a day for the last 5 months or so. This is on my Gmail account. I have been trying everything and still soo much junk mail, spam, penis pills, buy pills online, etc. Everyday i open my email on my phone and put all the junk in spam.. an hour later i get another one from a dif email address! My work email has 3rd party software and online services that are linked to our work email to block all this kinda stuff. Is there anything like this for gmail. i just want all the BS email and stuff to stop. what is the best way to stop all the spam!!
 
this usually this happen's when you have alot of documents on your mac os x

try this get disk drill from the apps store or try it for free at cloverfiles.com

You don't. 10 messages a day is overall not that bad (on a good day I receive 30-40 across my accounts), and Gmail has some of the best spam filtering out there. On a desktop you could at least use a mail client with an adaptive filter but I'm not sure if there's anything like that out for iOS.

Get a new email address. Seriously. I don't know what you use your gmail account for, but you can get Exchange Online email for $4.00 a month. Another $1.00 gets you online protection. Business associates (that are mine) get my address, business associates though the company I work for get my company address. Piggly Wiggly coupon offers, Amazon, ect get my hotmail address. If the email address you give me is a hotmail/gmail type address, you get my hotmail address in return. The wife and I also maintain a joint iCloud email account that is used to conduct household business.

I refuse to use gmail (or any google service, except you tube) so with the exception of googles TOS, I am unfamiliar with the operation of gmail. Hotmail has built in filtering that seems to work fairly well. I check my junk box every so often and I rarely find non junk email in it.

I know you were just asking how to eliminate some spam in gmail, this is just my 'system'. It seems to work well for me. I also delete emails. I keep very few old emails.

For iOS, filtering needs to be done o the server.
 
I am not following something here.

I have my Mail app loading email from my (soon to be deleted) gmail account. I don't see any spam.

I'm not saying I don't get spam on my gmail account; I do. I just don't see it, so I'm not sure how other people see spam on their accounts.
 
I have had the same gmail address for 8.5 years now. I use the one email address for everything: business, personal, website signups, you name it. I receive maybe one spam message per week, if that, into my inbox. And oddly enough, only 40 messages in my gmail spam folder (not Mail's spam folder) within the last week.
 
My issue is that all the spam I am getting is from fake gmail addresses. All this Viagra crap and its all coming from jdueneji@ gmail.com and 72737!!3!@gmail.com so it seems that gmail just just let it they cuz it's a @gmail addy? I dunno. I am 26 and not in need of Viagra hahha
 
I should add: I don't count spam as messages from companies whose websites I joined, like Orbitz, software suppliers, airlines, hotels, etc. I get a buttload of those every day.

But the messages for penis pills or offering me a bazillion dollars from an Arabic Prince...I don't get those.

Report those messages as spam and Gmail will learn from that and will place it into the spam folder instead of your inbox.
