I went to Los Angeles for a job interview and stayed out there for three nights. I used my iPad 2 at the airports (pre-boarding) and on the flights (departure and arrival) and every day as much as I wanted, never attempting to conserve battery power in any way. I used WiFi at the hotel, 3G at the airports and watched a 45 minute TV episode and a 90 minute movie. When I got home I still had 10% battery remaining. I was just blown away it lasted so long.

What a great product. That's it.

yep.

how long was your flight? I find my use is quite heavy in the air, and I regularly fly coast to coast. The battery life is excellent.

I can't wait to get my hands on iPad 3 in February or March. I sold my iPad 2 back in summer, because I was sure that another model was coming soon. I don't mind waiting a few extra months, because the high-res screen is going to knock peoples' socks off.

the battery life on the iPad is amazing, it's that simple. For a device that does so much it blows my mind. I charge it like once every 5 days and I use it every day for at least a little bit. Mostly iBooks and netflix with some safari.

Why would you sell it that far in advance?

It's too bad you fell for that rumor. I couldn't go a week without mine.

I've been using mine on and off for the past 15 and a half hours and it's down to 52%. Kicks the crap outta my 4S when I had it, but doesn't seem to be as good as everyone else's

Yeah--I was just noticing this morning that I haven't charged mine since the 14th. (That's the last time my automatic syncs ran.) And I do use it every day for various things.

I left the house with it at 20% this morning because I know that on an iPad that much battery will get you through at least one more day. If not, I have my charger in my bag, but I doubt it will be needed.
