Tool bar goes black - why?

My tool bar has gone funny, its been like it all day and has done it before. Any ideas please?

When I say funny, its gone black behind certain icons and you can just see them poking through the darkness.

You can change it back in System Preferences > General

Thank you. I have tried that and its still black on part of it. It really doesnt look right.

Is it still black behind some of the icons?

And I'm not sure how much it'll help. But have you logged out since you changed it? Sometimes a preference just needs to be reloaded to fix itself.
