i accientally removed my internet status thingy from the toolbar in the upper right hand corner, does anyone know how to get it back? also, does anyone know how to disable spotlight, and remove the finder from the dock? I use quicksilver and pathfinder, so these items are just inconveniences.

I'm amazed that you've already decided to start using Pathfinder and Quicksilver, but you don't know how to change Menu Bar status icon settings.

Hint: System Preferences -> Network -> Airport or Dial Up or whatever you're using -> Show (method) status in Menu Bar

ah yes that would do it.... nothing on turning of spot and finder?
