Some of you might already know all of these. But I sure didn't. It was #7 and #6.

I knew a fair bit of those, as I read through the list of 250 new features in Lion. I love the new voices, I downloaded a few earlier today. I love that they have international languages.

Unfortunately I cannot get this to work even with it enabled in settings....am I just doing it wrong? It says two taps with 3 fingers

Depends which app you do it in. Worked in my IRC client and Twitter client. Doesn't work in Firefox 5 for me.

Same here, i thought it was just bugged.

Do either of you by chance have BetterTouchTool installed with a Three Finger Tap gesture set up with it? I have it so a three finger tap in Safari open's a link in a new tab. When this is enabled, tap to lookup doesn't work. If I disable it, it works.

I tried it in safari and mail and twitter for mac and no luck...are you doing anything special? haha

Any secret settings through the terminal?

Do you think there will be any new secret terminal commands to access settings.

Like the turning off glass dock setting in Leopard or the new list view that came into SL?

I hope apple hasn't stopped putting in these little gems. I love them

Also curious. How do people find these hidden terminal settings anyway? Does apple publish them somewhere or do really clever developers just stumble upon them?

This still works. ;)

Double-tap (not "two taps") with three fingers works for me in Safari. Upgraded SL installation, nothing special changed to enable the feature. 2010 MBA.

I wish it worked in other languages. I'm not bad with my English, but foreign language dictionaries would be incredibly useful.

I have BTT installed with 3 finger tap link->new tab also. Dictionary lookup is working for me by highlighting the word first (double single-finger tap), then double tapping with 3 fingers.

Check to make sure it's set in your Trackpad options in System Preferences:

Thank you for sharing this. I got it to work now.
