Top Case from Amazon Macbook Pro Retina Impressions

The case was roughly $25 for me since I had some credits on amazon
My initial impressions are that the fit is tight, a definite plus but it does not cover all the ports.

I'm afraid that it'll somehow scratch or leave marks on the mbp but do let us know after a while how it goes

is it covering the vents on the side? because that can overheat it.
it is a good case, but i'd much rather go sleeves.

no the side vents that are underneath the laptop are covered

received mine five days ago - cracked, since they ship them in nothing but a bubble wrap envelope in order to save on shipping. sent me a replacement a few days later - wrong size. i'm going to give them one more chance to send me what i paid for, but so far, it seems like a pretty ramshackle operation, and i'm close to just asking Amazon for my money back.

as for the case itself, the fit is snug. seems a bit thinner than a similar rubberized hard shell i had from Speck with my prior MBP.

I got the black one from Kuzy and have it on my retina now. It's a pretty good fit, but it's a pretty good fit but it's not perfect around the edges. For one, I think the back of the bottom (near the hinge) could be tighter. Also, I sanded down the edge that sticks out where my wrists lay because it was higher than the computer itself and a bit rough. Overall I'm pleased though.

haha i meant the top lid case, it's not symmetrical in that one side has 3 prongs and one has two
i find with the 3 prongs facing away from the butt and towards the user, gives an excellent fit and probably how its supposed to be
i don't notice any sharp edges though, i'll see if i notice them later

You're saying the side vents are covered? If so, you are asking for major trouble and hardware failure. If your case is covering the side vents, your RMBP will not be able to properly circulate air and cool itself. This case is also very ugly - it makes your gorgeous RMBP look like an Oreo.

Quick question for owners of these cases or something similar. Can the white feet be remove? I plan to replace it with a black rubber that is shorter In height.
