I had a brand new rMBP for 2 days before they updated them. It was an amazing machine. I've since returned it as I originally planned on ordering a new one.
My main uses will be FCPx and gaming. The reason I chose the retina in the first place was because I didn't have to wait, and I liked the idea of using it in my recliner/bed.
Now I think I'm just being lazy, because for the same $$$ the 27" iMac looks like a beast compared to the rMBP.
Is it worth it (to those few souls who are lucky enough to have one right now) to sit in an office chair vs recliner? I doubt I'll take my rMBP out of the house more than once a year. I do have to wait until Apple employees are allowed to order them though... which could be a while...
