For whatever reason the other day the top half of my iPhone screen is now unresponsive. I can't click anything above the 3rd row on the home screen (can't get stock, weather, etc). I've looked around and the only thing I've found is water damage causing it but it hasn't been around water and never has been off for any reason. Got it first day, tried hard reset, full restore, nothing. The earliest I can get to an Apple store is Friday, but it sucks because the only way I can make calls is if I add the same number many times so it's below the dead line.

Any advice or things I can try to get it to work or anything would help! Thanks!

The "dead band" on the screen is a know failure. Take it to an Apple Store and they will swap it out with a shinny new phone. I did last week.
