For those jailbroke iphone, top is a nice utility that can be installed. The Iphone is basically a computer running UNIX. So any one with UNIX background top is in his/hers tool-box all the time. With top you can see at a glance what is going inside the phone in real time. Some times I think there is a process stuck somewhere in the phone, top will tell me right away if that is the case, etc, etc.
top can be installed from Cydia, just search for it, and bingo!
