Title says it. I can get the two for the same price ($1800). It will be the 15 inch. Which should I choose?
 
Depends on your usage. For gaming, the better GPU is more important so you should get the old one. Otherwise, get the new. Better CPU (also more power efficient), more power efficient GPU, and thunderbolt.

Games won't take advantage of the quad core. In fact, you'll find very little software that does. You'll be better off with a higher MHZ i5 for most uses.
 
I'm not really a gamer... might play one every once in a while. I have a desktop pc that I can do that on. So you guys think baseline would be better under these circumstances?

Huh? I never said games would take advantage of quad core. In fact I said that the CPU was irrelevant, the GPU is what is important.

Get last year's 15" with the dual core i7 (2.66 or 2.8 gig). Case closed.
