Everything Announced at Apple's Event in Six Minutes

Apple hosted its annual iPhone event this week, and it was packed with announcements as usual. New products unveiled include the iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and USB-C AirPods Pro.

Apple Announces iPhone 15 Pro With Titanium Design, Action Button, A17 Pro Chip, and More

The lower-end iPhone 15 and iPhone 15 Plus models also feature a USB-C port, and the Dynamic Island first added to iPhone 14 Pro models last year.

I actually have a hard time to remember what was new about the watches? A new processor and new watch faces and bands, but in terms of new features. Ah yeah, double-tap − okay − what else. 🤔
Titanium for the Pro, better camera. As you said, new processor, but it isn’t just faster. Thunderbolt speed for the pro, programable mute button.. biggest upgrade since the 12 Pro I reckon.

Watched it. To be honest nothing impressive. 10% improvement for iPhones over 14-series with 3nm. Double tap with fingers on Series 9, but that was already possible in Series 8 and older. Lot of marketing gimmick. Apple knows it, even trying to say the Watch Ultra 2 has 72-hours standby. Mind you by even disabling MORE features to reach that number, which they only mention in the small print. Is this the Apple we knew and loved?

I’ve just received my Evergreen FineWoven iPhone 15 pro case (£59.00 in the UK) - what an absolute disappointment, especially when Apple are hawking it at the same price as the now discontinued premium leather iPhone case. I will be returning it and hunting for something that will actually complement the 15 pro.

It's the worst phone case I've ever tried and I tried some cheap crap over the years. Huge miss for Apple on this one.

Honestly with the new chips I was hoping for longer battery life for both the iPhone and the Apple Watch. I had money saved up ready to go, but I admit now I feel underwhelmed. What is the point of a watch that records sleep data if you have to charge it overnight? In contrast, Garmin, COROS and others are making smartwatches with better battery life that lasts days or even weeks. The same holds true for the iPhone - we shouldn't lose a large chunk of functionally each day having to charge the phone.

Yeah, I'm confused about S8 and S9 battery life. I have an S7 and I only charge it while I get ready for work. So what happened from S7 to S8/S9? Let me be a bit more clear, when I bought the S7 two years ago I could go nearly 24 hours between charges, only charging while in the shower. As the battery has slowly degraded I've had to put it on the charger for more and more time. As of now, 2 years old, I put the watch on the charger when I get out of bed, and then pick it up before I leave for work, its nearly dead when I put it on the charger but fully charged when I leave.
I have the always-on display, its an LTE watch, so what happened?

He asked what was new with the watches ...
Yeah I saw that after I posted it. I thought I deleted it, but did a double post instead 🤦🏻‍♂️

as my 2nd post said, nothing except less scratches than my AW8. I bought the 8 because it was supposed to have tougher glass….

I bought an iPhone 15 and I just found out that the 120hz refresh rate display is exclusive to the pro model!!! WTH?? Hasn't those kind of displays been out for a while now?

How can you have tried it if the new iPhone hasn't been shipped yet?

Every year there are reports of a few people receiving product before it was supposed to ship due to third party oversights, etc. Beyond that, I'm sure there is far less concern with cases made from plants than there is for the latest phones & watches. Even now, looking at the Apple website, I can order now and have it delivered to Dallas tomorrow afternoon.

I am surprised in what appears to have been wide spread issue with the Apple Store App and Apple's web site not functioning for many on Friday is largely dismissed by MacRumors. Reading the various posts online and based on my own experience it blows my mind Apple has a difficult time making things work well on launch day. The amount of people who had issues seems newsworthy but I have to wonder if MR is giving Apple a free pass. What is the point of pre-order if  can't even get their stores to function properly? It took almost 30 minutes to access the store to finish the pre-order. I can wait several weeks for this upgrade but it definitely kills the excitement with all the frustration.

What I meant is that if you don't have the phone in your hand, it's hard to understand the case's fit. Unless you already got the new iPhone.

By touching it and seeing/feeling what garbage it is?

Has nothing to do with how well it will or will not fit. It is made of garbage so it is garbage.

Go watch a few YouTube hands-on videos of it if you don't want my firsthand review of it.
