We've been hearing for some time about Apple's work on a tabletop robot, and it appears the project is moving forward with a focus on smart home control, videoconferencing, and home security monitoring.

Would be very un*usual to see more than iPhones and iPhone adjacent products at this event.

I hope Apple doesn't neuter the normal iPhone 16 models too much to get buyers to buy the Pro!
Unfortunately, it's annoying that Apple treats the normal iPhone too neglectfully at THOSE prices:
950€

I hope Apple brings a better battery life to the Apple Watch. Unfortunately, watchOS 11 has not been as much of a hit as I had hoped in terms of sport. Google has surprisingly pulled ahead with its Pixel Watch in terms of sports features / metrics.

Rumors say we’ll see an updated iPad mini this fall. Might that be part of this event? Or has that been ruled out?

I may do the same but, I don’t think we will see BP and blood oxygen this year.
Don’t forget about the blood oxygen sensor ban. Until that’s figured out, new watches this year may not come with the sensor activated. I’ve already started looking into alternatives in case my replacement Ultra1 has the sensor deactivated when it comes time to get a battery replacement.

i can’t remember, does the ban affect the UK and EU?

Holding onto my Xr until iPhone XXIV comes out. Or iPhone 53. Whatever is first.

I’m curious about the watch 10 and hopefully ultra 3. I do think that watchOS is definitely lagging pixel watches these days in terms of fitness metrics which is odd considering the whole Apple Fitness mash up.
I have concerns the ultra 3 will be another ‘can’t tell the difference’ type of update like the U2 was.
A bigger 10 would be a welcome consideration , but would have to see how much the version with a sapphire screen is .. no way I’m getting another with their regular glass. So easily scratched up.

I think the apple robot arm thing might be useful for videoconferencing over the dinner table and such. It might be its main use I guess.
