I am using the latest version of Xcode. Yesterday, the top toolbar (with the views was visible. Today, it's not unless I expand the window to fill the screen. How do I make it appear again?

You mean as in Xcode -> View -> Hide/Show Toolbar?

I have the same problem, the whole toolbar top is missing. XCode 7.1.1. When I go to Xcode -> View -> Hide/Show Toolbar it might add in like 2 px of grey space, but none of the icons or actual tools show.

I just had this problem. I'm not sure I have a real fix as I missed around a bit. I'm running Xcode 7.1.

I tried the following idea a few times.
  • I choose View --> Hide Toolbar
  • Closed the project
  • Closed Xcode
  • Restarted Xcode
  • Reopened the project via the Welcome to Xcode window that first appears
  • Control clicked on the empty window bar and choose Icon & Text
  • Closed the project
  • Closed Xcode
  • Restarted Xcode
  • Reopened the project via the Welcome to Xcode window that first appears
  • My tool bar was restored

Worked for a bit, but now having same issue, but at times adjustable via the "Control clicked on the empty window bar and choose Icon & Text" mentioned above.
