I want to play Torchlight on my MacBook (Q4 2007, Intel Core2 Duo, 2.0 GHZ, 4 GB RAM, GMA x3100).

Official system requirements say nothing other than a dedicated GPU with 256 MB of RAM, but I see mentions around various Mac sites of people running it successfully (maybe not perfect graphics, but playable) on a GMA x3100. Problem is all of their posts were sort of vague as to the details (what other specs, etc).

So my question is has anyone actually done that here and if so can you chime in so I know it will work before I buy it?

Thanks for your help.

I have (almost) the exact same machine, Q4 2007, 2.2GHz C2D, with the X3100 and 4GB RAM. It runs just fine on slightly lower settings. I don't have it installed anymore so unfortunately I can't give you exact benchmarks, but it's absolutely playable, you just need to turn the shaders off. (It's a simple switch in the video settings.) Your fans will kick in and it will get hot, but I think you'll be pretty happy with the performance. :)
