Hi guys,

Just wondered if any of you have tried the new m500 ssd in your MBP's

Im getting a new cMBP 15" and will be ordering an upgrade SSD.

A bit worried that the m500's are new and might have teething problems, not sure if it woulld be safer to go for the m4?

Thoughts?

Both will suffice.

Crucial has a proven track record and either will be great. I would get the M500 for its faster speeds, but that's me.

Reliability, again, Crucial has a good track record, I wouldn't be too concerned by this, also both use a Marvell Controller.

Thanks I have gone for the m500, 480GB for now.

The 980gb isn't available yet otherwise I would have gone for that, but ill give it a year let the price come down. I think 480GB is good enough at the moment :)
