i want to buy my first mac, but i don't know whether should i to pay the huge price gap...i configure my mbp with an antiglare screen and i don't care the hard drive, is the difference between p8800(2.66g, 3mb L2)&p9700(2.8g, 6mb L2) big enough for me to pay? plus the different 9600gt?(256mb vs 512mb, 128bit)

It really depends on what you're planing to use the MBP for. Since you say that the price difference between the two is "huge" it probably won't be worth it to get the MB986LL/A since the difference in performance between the two is not "huge".
