Okay, so I guess it is a fire sale over at eBay. You can get 1.6 Macbook Air for around 1,000 with the Live rebate. I am torn between the new Macbook (slightly out of my range now) or the Air. Form factor is fine in both devices, although the Air is definately much sleeker and easier to carry. At any rate, I think I would go for the Air except I feel like I am already buying outdated hardware. How viable will this computer be over the next few years compared to the Macbook? Plus, are the overheating issues and stuttery video playback issues pronounced?
As an aside, I know the Air has terrible integrated graphics, but does anyone know if it could handle Civ 4 or Rome Total War in Bootcamp?
