I was using transmission on my macbook (running os x 10.4), which worked great for me for about two years. One day it stopped working, the icon would pop up in the dashboard and then close right away. I tried another torrent client, and it did the same thing- so did every other client i tried! Shortly after I downloaded limewire (i know, i know, shame on me) and that too soon stopped working. Anybody have any idea whats going on here?

Torrent clients will not open on macbook, can this be fixed?

So you are trying to open the applications, but they immediately close after you try?
Are you opening them from the Apps folder or from the dock?
Have you tried re-installing the apps?

Same exact problem. I know its not an issue with the connection or router, because Transmission works fine on my girlfriends macbook.
Edit: forgot to mention (may or may not be relevant) - I have OS X 10.4.11 and use Peer Guardian (makes no difference if I shut it off).
