When I go into Disc Utility, on the left side, it says '320.07 GB Toshiba...' followed by 'Macintosh HD', which is indented on the next line. Why is there a Toshiba file on my mac?!

Toshiba is the mfgr of the HDD - "Macintosh HD" is the volume on it.

If you had multiple partitions it would show up:

320 GB.. Toshiba
- Macintosh HD
- Bootcamp
- SomeData

nothing to worry about.
