I got a new 16G 2G and love it, but I'm having issues with mail. It seems to go in and out of working alright. Sometimes it says "checking for mail..." for minutes and minutes and nothing happens. It also says in my inbox "Load more messages..." then tells me there is 1 unread message. This email never shows up, and it doesn't show up in mail on my MBP. Sometimes it doesn't like to send email either. I tried restoring it, and that didn't help either.

The 'load more messages' at the bottom is so you can download older emails onto your touch (It only downloads a certain amount starting with the newest one automatically).
The thing where it says you have one in your inbox is just a glitch that happens when you check your mail on another device that your touch already downloaded. It will update so it no longer says it's new, but the button at the top will still say 1 new. Just ignore it.
