I have a two G touch, I could not use the power button on top of the unit,
it seemed to be too far in. The Apples Store Tech Guy said its not the button...its the screen pulling up just enough to stop the button from working as well as the bottom. He held the screen with his fingers and the power button worked again!!!! I am wondering if I put a piece of paper on the screen and then
something heavy like a 5' scrap of Granite table material on it. The screen may go back to where it needs to be or use two of those spring loaded clamps
you see at Home Depot over night, that might work. I suggested it to the Apple store tech and he said go ahead..nothing to lose. I am concerned I may
shatter the screen...
