iPod touch Touch Aux-In

I have a AVIC D1 headunit in my car and theres 2 option im looking at. Theres one with a dock connection and theres one with a stereo plug. My question is has anyone used the one with the ipod connector and is it reliable?

Well I just ordered today an iPod adaptor (KCA-iP500) for my Kenwood KDC-MP428. I have read in several sites saying it is compatible with iPhone so for that reason it is going to work in a iPod Touch. What I suggest is to look deeply and see if its compatible with the touch or just ask the user who is selling it on ebay.
