Touch bar and App Store!

Hi MacBook Pro forum users,

Can anyone tell me if the Touch Bar works on the App Store on their MacBook Pro's?
On mine, the area between the escape key and the left direction arrow next to the brightness key is blank.

It is not a big issue for me, but I do have quite a few software bugs.... and wondered if this is one of them!

Mine also simply shows the default Touch Bar keys. Escape key on the left, and user-selected keys on the right.
