Touch Bar - Finger Scanner Square

To all my felling touch bar owners, just got mine and typing for the first time. While setting up my finger print, I noticed that the finger scanner makes a little noise when I raise and lower my finger. I cannot tell if it is loose or that it's just a different material not as connected to the machine as well as the touch bar? And as I am typing this, I just realized it's also a button DUH.... So to confirm? it's a button obviously, and has a little play to it? thanks!

Yes, its the power button. Its an actual physical button.

It's a button yes, but mine doesn't move at all. It can be clicked and pressed, but as far as any sort of lateral movement, I can rest and wiggle my finger on it and there isn't any play or give.

interesting, mine has "a little" movement laterally (left n right) but its very very minor, and I can only feel it
