Touch Bar only sometimes shows certain button?

So when I first got my computer about a week ago if I used iTunes and switched to another app, a little circle with 3 lines in it would show up on the Touch Bar and would open a quick way to play and pause the music or skip to another song. That button is no longer showing up? Did I somehow change a setting?
