Would you rather have on your laptop
- a Touch Bar
- or a Touch Screen

With Catalyst apps on macOS, isn't it logical to add a touch screen to laptops? With Sidecar on iPad, Apple already testing the waters.

And with a touch screen, would Apple still push Touch Bar?

For my needs, I'd rather have an option of neither. A touch screen seems a lesser evil, I would not touch it accidentally, and enjoy classic keyboard.

Touch bar ... I have zero desire for a touch screen on a laptop

This exactly for me.

That's based on me having the misfortune to have used a Windows device where the operating system wasn't designed for touch. It was a horrible experience.

The iPad with Magic Keyboard seems to be almost perfection for the best of both worlds (without getting in to the nuanced debate about why some people can't transition to iPadOS).

I would hate to have fingerprints all over the screen of my laptop. I also would hate making the screen move all the time by touching it. So not interested in a touch screen MacBook Pro.

Initially I hated the Touch Bar but now I'm cool with it, especially since they put a dedicated esc key on the new MacBook pros. I don't like it, I don't need it, but I'm at peace with it. I mostly use it to change the volume and screen/keyboard brightness. I don't use any of the app-specific functions, ever.
