Touch Bar Short Cuts in iMovie?

I’ve been using iMovie more lately, and I’ve noticed that there are only two shortcuts on the Touch Bar: split clip and 100%.

How can I add shortcuts to the Touch Bar? I tried better touch tool, but that doesn’t seem to do what I want, and I haven’t gotten any responses on their forum, either.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
