iPod touch Touch Connect to USB while computer Off

discharged my ipod Touch completely. Is this normal? I've heard that some USB ports stay active and could allow my iPod Touch to be charging, even when my computer is off. I believe this is the case with one of my USB ports as it has a IR receiver that can hook to it to power on the computer by remote.

I'm very interested in hearing if other people have experienced this problem or if this could be something I should be concerned about.

what computer do you have and how long was it connected to the computer?

my USB won't charge when its off. All you have to do is plug in your touch when your pc is off and find out.
