touch feezing after jailbreak

hi,
just did the jailbreak to ipod touch using ipodtouchmaster's method. heres the video i used to do it.

it seemed to work fine, but now when i go into installer to add a source it freezes while i am typing. has anyone else had this problem?

If it keeps doing it, try restoring it and re-jailbreaking it. If the problem still persist try using a different method.

Did you give the iPod a new name when you restored before jailbreaking?

i tried to follow that video as close as possible. i restored and didnt let itunes do anything, so no i didnt rename it. it didnt say anything in the vid about that. it only freezes when i get in to type something on the keyboard. everything else seems to work fine.

My friend jailbroke his touch with that video and his is working ok. The only thing I would say is you might have to restore it and re-jailbreak it.

The best steps immediately after restoring 1.1.4 are to (1) rename it, do NOT let iTunes use a backup. (2) Turn off Open iTunes When This iPod is Connected. (3) Proceed with Ziphone or whatever jailbreak instructions.

You missed step #1, that is what causes the keyboard problem. AFAIK.

I had this problem (except it would just keep freezing when I loaded anything up)

Re-jailbreaking it once fixed it completely

i ad freezing when you type just restore rename jail break ad works fine
