I am using a 2019 MacBook Pro. This is the Intel machine with the Touch Bar. After installing Sequoia v15.7, I am noticing this behavior with regards to the Touch ID.
In previous versions when the MacBook wakes up from sleep, I place my finger on the Touch ID button and it immediately unlocks. Now in Sequoia v15.7, the MacBook will not unlock when I place my finger on the Touch ID button. This is despite the Touch Bar saying "Unlock with Touch ID". macOS wants me to enter my password to unlock my MacBook. I have to wait for another 30-45 seconds before the screen says "Touch ID or password to unlock" where the Touch ID can finally unlock my MacBook.
Has there been a change to the Touch ID functionality?
