Touch Id doesn't work on the app store

Hi all,

I have a problem I wonder if you can help me with. Touch ID works fine on my phone and unlocking it with my finger print is no problem; however, I can’t get apps from the app store with it. When I try it displays the usual popup which says ‘Touch ID’ and shows my email beneath. So when I press my thumb to it, the popup goes away and then immediately comes back, but without my email address showing. Then when I put my thumb on it, it goes away and nothing comes back.

I've tried resetting all settings on my phone but that hasn't helped.

Can anyone suggest anything? I have an iPhone 6 running 10.0.1
