Hello folks,

I have the Apple Magic Keyboard with Touch ID and the fingerprint reader works with everything but the system storage management. I have to put in my password every time I want to delete anything. It's really annoying since my password is long.

Why doesn't Touch ID work? It works with everything else.

Current OS version: Ventura 13.2 (not the latest) (came with my Mac Mini M2)

Thank you.

I'm not sure if it's specifically storage management or not, but there are a few specific things that Apple has decided require a typed in password versus TouchID. For an answer as to why, you'll have to ask Apple. 🤷‍♂️
