Is it just my iPhone or is the touch id acting differently on this version? My success rate for the most part went up with the update but a lot of times my phone won't unlock until i take my finger off the home button. Like the screen will just stay there if I keep my finger on the button. It doesn't happen every time but enough to make me wonder.
 
The Touch ID has improved tremendously for me. I've only gotten Try Again maybe once since I updated. It use to happen about 60% of the time before. Haven't rescanned my fingerprint in setup either.

I experience quite a lot if I leave my thumb on the home button, my phone stays asleep until I take my thumb off and then it wakes up and unlocks. Can be very annoying.
 
It seems to work more consistently now on my 5s running 7.1 (fewer "try again"s), but the time it takes to respond and unlock has increased significantly.
 
Recognition seems improved but it's really slow now.

Used to work almost instantly before; now it takes 2 seconds. In that 2 seconds I could enter my pass code instead.
 
It was perfect and fast for me all the way through beta 5. And now it is slow on the final release. I's annoying, but not the end of the world.
 
Yes it has changed for me.

TouchID was already pretty decent, I guess I was at 90% first try succes. However right now I don't remember ever nog getting it at first try (so pretty much 100%) since 7.1

likewise. I was probably hovering between 80-90% pre-7.1 and now I have not had a single fail since updating.

I get that from time to time... I sometimes end up just pushing on the button and it goes.
