Mine is solid but it does press with a solid click (since it's also the power button).is it supposed to feel loose ? like I can lightly tap on it and it feels loose not solid. Is this how it is supposed to be ?
yea if I lightly tap on it I can feel it move .. weird .. I guess ill see if my store has anymore in stock since I got the last oneNo it's not. Mine is solid.
I felt that some store units were a little loose though. If you're not comfortable with it you should definitely swap the machine out.
Mine is also a bit loose. You can tap it and it will make a sound of the button wiggling a bit.

The first model which I returned to Apple had a loose Touch ID. If you lightly put your finger on it you could move the actual button. The second model I got was solid, no problems.
yup that is what mine is like currently but exchanging seems like a PITA
Mines not loose, but when you touch it, it wobbles. So moving or shaking he mac makes no noise. It's a button, expect movement, of not now....in time from use

Is recommend checking if the unit has a good screen and does not suffer from GPU issues
I've been using for a few hours and have no noticed any battery / screen or gpu issues
