is it supposed to feel loose ? like I can lightly tap on it and it feels loose not solid. Is this how it is supposed to be ?

No it's not. Mine is solid.

I felt that some store units were a little loose though. If you're not comfortable with it you should definitely swap the machine out.

Mine is also a bit loose. You can tap it and it will make a sound of the button wiggling a bit.

Mine is solid but it does press with a solid click (since it's also the power button).

when I press mine down it is sold but it is just when I lightly tap it that it makes a sound like it is loose .. was just checking if it was normal

The first model which I returned to Apple had a loose Touch ID. If you lightly put your finger on it you could move the actual button. The second model I got was solid, no problems.

yup that is what mine is like currently but exchanging seems like a PITA

I don't know if I'm gonna return it, waiting 4 weeks only for a button which doesn't wiggle...

Mines not loose, but when you touch it, it wobbles. So moving or shaking he mac makes no noise. It's a button, expect movement, of not now....in time from use

Is recommend checking if the unit has a good screen and does not suffer from GPU issues

I've been using for a few hours and have no noticed any battery / screen or gpu issues

Mine does the same, seems like some are a tad looser than others. I have played around with a few other ones and some feel firm and others feel a tad loose. I figure it'a a button so it may be an easy fix later if there are any problems.
