Why is it that whenever I try to download an app it asks me to "Confirm Apple ID Password to Renew Touch ID Purchases?" I've allowed Touch ID to purchase apps with my fingerprint.

It's not a big deal, but just a minor annoyance when it doesn't work the way Apple describes it.

It does work the way they describe it. If you've gone a certain period of time without purchasing an app, it will ask you to renew you touch ID purchases by entering your passcode - this is a security feature.

Ive had that happen to me several times, maybe its after 5 uses it does password to confirm. I could be wrong though.
EDIT: or what he said ^^^

I've never been able to purchase an app with touch id... I get this message every time and have to end up entering my password anyway. It hasn't bothered me enough to look into it and try to figure it out. And yes I do have app purchases enabled under the touch id menu.
