I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. The Touch ID sensor on my M1 iMac's keyboard has failed. I deleted the fingerprints is the Touch ID preference pane, and when I try to enroll a new fingerprint, it says that it is unable to setup [sic] Touch ID on your keyboard. When I connected it to my M1 MacBook Air, I tried to enroll it, and it displaying the fingerprint animation, but when I placed my finger on the sensor, nothing shows up.

I'm currently on hold with Apple, to get a replacement, but I thought I'd post this in case anyone else has this problem. This is the first I've heard of it, and I can't find anything on Google about others who have had this problem.

UPDATE: Why didn't I think of turning the keyboard off and turning it on? Even the Apple advisor didn't suggest it, but when we were just about to set up shipping for a replacement, I tried that, and it worked. So reboot your keyboard if you have a problem.
