Touch ID Unresponsive-6s Plus

About once a day on my 6s Plus, I will press the home button and leave my finger on it and it does nothing. I lock it and try again and still nothing. It doesn't even register a finger is on it since the screen doesn't shake.
I then have to sign in with my pin and if I lock it again, it will work.

Is anybody else experiencing this? Is it a hardware or software issue?
 
Not on a 6S+, but on a regular 6S, yes. Mainly when it's in the pocket of my jeans for a long time. I just hold my finger on the sensor for a few seconds, then press it, instant reading. But it's an issue indeed.
