Hi all,

(Please move this thread if necessary)

I have come to hate the new touchbar on my new macbook pro.
It takes to much time to maneuver around.

I was hoping that someone have a fix or work arround.
I REALLY want to be able to have the full bar expanded at all times (with the music cotrolls, volume, brightness etc.) - See attached "Picture 1" BUT with the "X" button removed, and with the ESC button there instead.

Is this possible? If yes, how? If no, is there a better workarround?

Thanks so much for any help!

Within macOS you can go to system preferences/keyboard and adjust it there.

But it'll default to displaying whatever App you currently have open.

You can use something such as BetterTouchTool to give you a greater level of customisation if you really want it. I think the standard options are good for what you need though, just select "expanded control strip".

Yeah, I've had mine set up this way for a long time. I have my workflow already and adding the touchbar to it slows it down, so it makes no sense to do so. I really wish they had a 15" MBP option without the touchbar, as I'd buy it in a heartbeat.
