Touchbar light

Any way to turn off the touch bar light immediately?

Pretty annoying having to wait 60 seconds every time I touch it (like turning up the volume watching netflix then having to look at the torch-light-bar for 1 minute until I can enjoy the movie)

A quick search tells that it follow keyboard backlight timeout.
System preferences -> Keyboard -> "Turn Keyboard backlight off after XXX of inactivity"
I don't have a touch-bar model, so don't know if it works.
