I have had Touch ID on a 2017 and 2018 MacBook Pro, and the same thing happens on both - I am wondering if others have seen it.

First, I set up the fingerprint in Touch ID prefs. I have done a single finger, multiple instances of the same finger, a different finger in unique attempts to get it working. When complete, if I lock the MacBook Pro, it unlocks instantly - and I can do this quite a few times in succession, each time the MacBook Pro unlocking instantly. I can maybe use the MacBook Pro for an hour or so, test again and it works instantly. But by the next day, or so, from that point on, the unlock with Touch ID never works again - no matter how I place my finger(s) that have been previously set. If I delete the fingerprints and re-add it starts working again temporarily. Also, if I just add a new fingerprint, it still does not work. It's like it's just lost the ability to validate against any fingerprint.

I don't suppose there is an answer for this, maybe this is one of the many bugs Mojave is hopefully going to fix.

Anyone seen this?
