Using a passcode, if I get a notification on the lock screen, I can swipe that notification, enter my passcode and be taken directly to the notification in the app. E.g. swipe an iMessage and be taken to that message in the Messages app.

Unless I'm missing something, the same functionality can't be reproduced using TouchID. In other words if I want to unlock my phone using touchID and be taken directly to the app for that Notification, is there a short cut??!??

Can you not swipe the notification, then use Touch ID the same way you would the passcode?

Duhhhhhh! we'll I didn't think of that.. I did swipe and saw a request for a passcode and assumed at that point that was my only option. However you're correct, swiping and then using TouchID when the Passcode screen appears DOES WORK.

Thanks! that's been bugging me. No idea why I didn't try it.

Glad it helped!
