Touchmods VoIP

On New Years Touchmods is dropping a free version of VoIP for the Ipod Touch What I'm trying to figure out is how VoIP works, For example if this version is free then what is it that we pay for and and is there a way to use it but not pay, because on Freecall.com which is the recommended provider for this VoIP it say you have 300 mins a week for free, so am I right when i say if i stay under 300 mins a week on the phone than i will never have to pay?

The iPod Touch has no microphone; how could it act as a telephone? Even over wireless with VoIP, all youk could do is listen, via earbuds.

I'm no expert, but this sounds like a hoax to me.

The software was just released, and I just used it, and its working great. I cant wait to get a proper microphone for this baby. Makes my touch more desirable. Good Work to the guys at touchmods. Going to donate now,....

Since you used it can you share any info on how it worked like did u have to sign up for any calling company or anything?

It only works over wi fi though doesn't it? I hate AT&T as much as the next guy buy I sure as hell don't want to have carry around a wi fi router when I want to make a call.

i'm not sure, i will ask him but i think he got it from xtrememac, don't take my word though, yet
