Hello there,
I own a late-2008 13" Unibody Macbook (Intel Core2 2.0GHz and 8GB RAM). It originally came with Leopard and was later upgraded to Snow Leopard. The hard drive recently crashed and lacking the original Leopard CDs I decided to install Yosemite instead. I created the bootable USB drive "OS X Installer 10.10.2" and went through the installation process.
The problem: The multitouch trackpad, which worked perfectly under Snow Leopard, does not select either by tapping or left-clicking. All other gesture functions work. I even set the "com.apple.AppleMultitouchTrackpad Clicking" value to 1 with the terminal.
The problem first appeared during the Yosemite installation process but I thought that this was a problem with the installer and somehow I managed to complete the installation using the keyboard shortcuts.
I am at a loss here. Isn't the 2008 trackpad compatible with Yosemite or am I missing something else?
Any advice will be highly appreciated.
Thank you in advance
Dimitris
