Touchpad

Just wondered if anybody's touchpad behaves the same. If you touch the pad right at the bottom edge and swipe left or right on the bottom edge it does not register movement. If however you start in the middle and then swipe in the bottom edge it does register.

Is this normal? Some older threads suggest on older models but wondered if this is replicated in newer models.

On my 2020 MBP, nothing registers if I start anywhere along the bottom.

I’m assuming it does it as a palm rejection measure?
